In 1987 La Peca was born from the wills of Nicola and Pierluigi Portinari: gastronomically passionate and with years of experience they decided to plunge head first into this adventure. Recognition was quick to arrive; a Michelin Star and numerous other awards from the principal gastronomic guides:

In 1999 Nicola was named "Young Chef of the Year", and in 2004 Pierluigi was recognized as "Pastry Chef of the Year"; in recent history La Peca was awarded "Wine Cellar of the Year" by the Espresso guide and the 5 Forks from the Audi guide. All of these attained successes strengthen the tenacity, talent and passion that has always accompanied the Portinari brothers and subsequently motivating their desire to grow.
